Description mab 2010-12-09 09:12:44 UTC
When printing a document which has some text selected (highlighted), there is (as with OpenOffice Writer) a necessary message window requesting a choice of 'Print All' or 'Print Selected'.

But if 'All' is chosen, NOTHING is printed!

Problem is not resolved in LibO 3.3.2, on several environments (XP, Vista, Ubuntu). See problable duplicate #34468 for another confirmation.

Sorry, I do a mistake. This problem is not exactly the same : in 3.3.2, when text is selected, all the pages of the document are printed, not only the selection or nothins as in 3.3.0.

[This is an automated message.]
This bug was filed before the changes to Bugzilla on 2011-10-16. Thus it
started right out as NEW without ever being explicitly confirmed. The bug is
changed to state NEEDINFO for this reason. To move this bug from NEEDINFO back
to NEW please check if the bug still persists with the 3.5.0 beta1 or beta2 prereleases.
Details on how to test the 3.5.0 beta1 can be found at:

I am away from base and do not have LibOf 3.5.0 installed or in a position to install it.

I shall be back on January 2nd.

If anyone reading this has 3.5.0. installed, perhaps you could try the sequence that failed, as stated at the top?

(Highlight some text and then request PRINT. If you select 'all', what is printed: Nothing, or everything?
Comment 5 sasha.libreoffice 2012-01-14 01:22:36 UTC
not reproduced on Fedora 64 bit in Libo 3.3.4. and LibO 3.5.0 beta 1
If it still reproducible, my be it can reproduced only from specific document or with specific object selected?
Comment 6 mab 2012-01-17 10:34:31 UTC
Using L.O. 3.3.0.4 on Mandriva 2012.2.

Have just created a new document containing 3 arbitrary strings.

Highlight any of the 3 strings and press print.

System asks: "Print All or selected?" Hit 'All'.

Result: Only the highlighted string is printed!

(Regardless of which string is highlighted.)
Comment 7 sasha.libreoffice 2012-01-18 02:34:36 UTC
please try LibO 3.4.5 from http://www.libreoffice.org/download/
my be there this bug is fixed
and if there appears another problems with printer, try this:
Goto File -> Printer Settings -> Properties -> Device and
change "Printer Language Type" from PDF to one of the Postscript options.
Comment 8 mab 2012-01-18 10:30:57 UTC
Ok - have updated to 3.4.5 as requested, and find that the problem does not occur.

No problem printing out!
Comment 9 sasha.libreoffice 2012-01-19 04:52:38 UTC
It is good news that problem disappears!
I change status of this bugreport to WorksForMe
