When I first started 330rc1, it collected data from probably the Ubuntu distributed OOo. Now when starting rc1 again, it gives error messages about not found basic libraries. In the user/basic path, there are the dialog.xlc and script.xlc Those mention all basic libs from the previous installation. The folders for the libraries are there, bet they do not contain any files.modules. Example of a line from the script.xlc: <library:library library:name="XrayTool" xlink:href="$(USER)/basic/XrayTool/script.xlb/" xlink:type="simple" library:link="false"/>
Kohei: You were involved in the migration code, any idea, please?
I would ask Noel as I *remember* had encountered a similar problem before. Also, I remember I had this issue back around 3.1-ish. This has nothing to do with the migration work I did so I have no clue.
iirc the migration process just copies any user specific basic modules etc. into the new user config directory. The question is why the module folders of the previous installation are empty ( prior to the copy ), they shouldn't be or they are somehow corrupted?. Maybe this is some undesired side affect of the installation of libreoffice ( but I doubt that ). @Cor do you think it is possible to try and recreate this and get a step by step process to reproduce? The other thing is that perhaps this was some glitch in rc1 that is now gone. Could you verify with rc2? ( I guess requires getting the old openoffice installation back )
@Noel, could try. OTOH, apparently it are issue I have since I drag user profiles with me for years. Anyway, it is seldom that I hear other people complain.. So I'll keep an ey on it for some time, and see if I find it worth the effort. If not, I'll come back to close this one.
haven't seen this for long time > resolved/fixed (apparently)
