Description Rpnpif 2010-12-26 03:45:16 UTC
Updating from 3.3.0.17 to 3.3.0.18 issued errors for some packages as:

(in french language)
Error message:
tentative de remplacement de « /opt/libreoffice/basis3.3/help/en/sdraw.cfg », qui appartient aussi au paquet libobasis3.3-en-us-draw 3.3.0-17

libobasis3.3-en-us-help and libobasis3.3-core01 packages has the same errors.

Does LO work after the installation, or is it more a warning, please?

It was a message which appeared when I updated from LO 3.3.0.17 to LO 3.3.0.18. After that, the upgrading of libobasis3.3-en-us-draw, libobasis3.3-en-us-help and libobasis3.3-core01 deb packages is impossible.

The workaround is to delete /opt/libreoffice/basis3.3/help/en/ directory and retry to install the above packages. So no more errors messages. After this successfully upgrading second tentative, the /opt/libreoffice/basis3.3/help/en/ is not recreated. No matter because it is not needed for my French release of LO.

My distribution : Debian Squeeze and sources of apt pointing to the sources of LO at Tuxfamily repository.

To reproduce this issue, I think you should install the English 3.3.0.17 deb release of LO, then install the French deb packages, last upgrade to 3.3.0.18.

The upgrading to a next release should tell more.
