When grabbing a LibreOffice menu entry from Applications > Office and dropping it to the desktop (or right-clicking and "Add this launcher to the desktop"), it appears with a lock and can't be used to launch the corresponding application. All such menu entries are symlinks to root-owned files in /opt/libreoffice/share/xdg/. The exact error message is "Untrusted application launcher: The application launcher "libreoffice-calc.desktop" has not been marked as trusted. If you do not know the source of this file, launching it may be unsafe."
I was using Ubuntu 10.10 32-bit and 64-bit when I tested this.
Hi Fabian, Does `ls -la /opt/libreoffice/share/xdg/` show the *.desktop executable?
Yes, Yifan, here's my ouput: magicfab@bachue:~$ ls -la /opt/libreoffice/share/xdg/ total 164 drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 2010-12-30 07:21 . drwxr-xr-x 8 root root 4096 2010-12-30 07:21 .. -r--r--r-- 1 root root 23291 2010-12-19 03:54 base.desktop -r--r--r-- 1 root root 19857 2010-12-19 03:54 calc.desktop -r--r--r-- 1 root root 16869 2010-12-19 03:54 draw.desktop -r--r--r-- 1 root root 20321 2010-12-19 03:54 impress.desktop -r--r--r-- 1 root root 3421 2010-12-19 03:54 javafilter.desktop -r--r--r-- 1 root root 15979 2010-12-19 03:54 math.desktop -r--r--r-- 1 root root 6161 2010-12-19 03:54 printeradmin.desktop -r--r--r-- 1 root root 214 2010-12-19 03:54 qstart.desktop -r--r--r-- 1 root root 15523 2010-12-19 03:54 startcenter.desktop -r--r--r-- 1 root root 22257 2010-12-19 03:54 writer.desktop

So does the problem still here if you add executable permission to them ` sudo chmod +x /opt/libreoffice/share/xdg/*.desktop`?
@Yifan, the dragged shortcuts can be executed normally when you do that, but ownership does not change, so they can't be renamed.
Hi Rene, do you have some ideas on this? Thanks!
Yifan: no
