As per this page http://help.libreoffice.org/Writer/Styles_in_Writer, "If you want, you can nest Character Styles." However, this simply doesn't work at all. I guess it will be viewed as a bug in the documentation, rather than anything else, but it would be really great if it *did* work!
(In reply to comment #0) I also just noticed this problem. And OpenOffice.org 3.3.0 has the same issue, by the way. I know that I used this feature in the past, however I'm not sure now if I only used it in MS Word or if this also used to work in older revisions of LO/OOo.

not reproduced on LibO 3.3.4 and 3.5.0 beta 2 if problem still exist, please, write how exactly it reproduce
