Java is installed, and Java works. The following packages, however, are not installed:

 - OpenJDK
 - IcedTea
 - GCJ

Please make sure the packages can detect whether Java is installed using any of:

 - JAVA_HOME environment variable
 - "which java" command
 - "java -version" command

Thank you!

I have exactly this same problem with libreoffice 3.4.1 on fedora 14 x64.

$ java -version
java version "1.6.0_26"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_26-b03)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 20.1-b02, mixed mode)

$ /usr/sbin/alternatives --config java

There is 1 program that provides 'java'.

  Selection    Command
-----------------------------------------------
*+ 1           /usr/java/default/bin/java

I just installed this version but with previous java version (1.6.0_25) it was the same.

I  haven't installed these packages:
- OpenJDK
- IcedTea
- GCJ

With libreoffice 3.4.0 I didn't have this problem. As thangalin, java works.

[This is an automated message.]
This bug was filed before the changes to Bugzilla on 2011-10-16. Thus it
started right out as NEW without ever being explicitly confirmed. The bug is
changed to state NEEDINFO for this reason. To move this bug from NEEDINFO back
to NEW please check if the bug still persists with the 3.5.0 beta1 or beta2 prereleases.
Details on how to test the 3.5.0 beta1 can be found at:
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/BugHunting_Session_3.5.0.-1

Comment 3 Philipp Weissenbacher 2012-03-07 07:09:33 UTC
Please see if this is still an issue with 3.5.
Thanks!
