Description Regina Henschel 2011-01-27 12:41:01 UTC
I have installed LibreOffice with custom installation and deselected all dictionaries but English and German. But when the installation is finished all other dictionaries are installed too. There is no way to get rid of them.
Comment 1 Steven W 2011-01-27 18:29:32 UTC
Kind of a work around:

Assuming you're on Windows, navigate to the Program Files\LibreOffice 3\share\extensions directory and delete the folders for the dictionaries.
Comment 2 André Schnabel 2011-01-27 23:14:56 UTC
Setting NEEDINFO, as the problem is not fully reproducable.

I have about 5 confirmations on german user list, that dictionary installation works corectly, so there seem to be some special circumstances.

regina: can you tell more about the szenario? e.g. Windows version, fresh install or update from RC, OOo installed in parallel?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but how do you notice they are installed?

If it wasn't as noticeable, if you hadn't been specifically looking for it, would it disturb you?

Does it disturb you that for instance the mail merge functionality is always included even if you don't use it? Or if you happen to use that, the same question for some other "built-in" functionality...
Comment 5 Regina Henschel 2011-01-28 02:19:24 UTC
André: WinXP SP3. An administrative Installation of LibO33RC3 exists, but the released version is installed normal, not administrative. OOo3.3 has been installed first, then LibO.

Tor: They are marked in Language Settings and I see them in the Extension Manager. It makes the Extension Manager unclear and might (not actually) lead to unnecessary update downloads. My concern is not about the existents of the dictionaries or other build-in functions, but about the fact, that they are installed even so I have decided in setup not to install them.

@Regina
The customized selection works well for me with the same initial situation
(on WinXP).
