Description gsr.bugs 2011-01-27 15:22:08 UTC
With export RADEON_HYPERZ=y and since "r300g: fix some bugs with zbuffer compression (v4)" db299a9f8244d53d9041fcdbd396a77ebe1f9e3e SuperTuxKart shows a blue or noisy zone in the bottom of the screen, like if it was a broken JPEG. Unsetting the env var makes everything render fine. This is a RV360 card.

I have fixed the 8x8 compression mode in master. It should fix the bottom of the screen being uninitialized. Please test.

Trying with "r300g: 8x8-compressed zbuffer can only be point-sampled" baf2a795eb357aaf33fdee166003fa38768cb193. Console prints:
export RADEON_HYPERZ=y -> r300: AA compression: NO, Z compression: YES, HiZ: NO
unset RADEON_HYPERZ -> r300: AA compression: NO, Z compression: NO, HiZ: NO

The bottom zone seems fixed. Thanks.
