File causing crash of LO Writer

I have following document (.doc file, see attachment) with MS Visio drawing.
When I try to open it via LO 3.3, crash occurs. In Word 2003 I have no problems with that file.
I tried it on Windows 7 x64 and Vista x86 SP2, in both is the same behavior (in Win XP SP3 it either did not work, see bottom).
FYI, Google Docs also cannot display that drawing, but at leasts it displays blank page instead of crash.

Helpfull info from another user:
Interesting. I can open it in LO 3.3 in linux... but the rendering is very
odd. It looks as if the cursor strokes were recorded. In OOo 3.3.0
(linux) it opens properly. Screenshots of both:

In LibreOffice 3.3.0 linux:

Note: LO 3.3.0 on WinXP the doc doesn't exactly crash LO, instead LO
just seems to freeze when attempting to render the doc on the screen.
WinXP SP3 1Gb memory allocated in a VMWare virtual machine. Here's a
screenshot of LO on WinXP:

My guess is that it is a duplicate of bug 33785
Comment 2 Peter Marko 2011-02-11 05:34:51 UTC
If I am right and did not miss something in comments, crash from bug 33785 was resolved by moving library "mtfrenderer.uno.dll" from

C:\Program Files (x86)\LibreOffice 3\Basis\program

to

C:\Program Files (x86)\LibreOffice 3\program

then this is maybe similar problem or really the same. I tried to move this library, and now LO is possible to open here attached file, it displays some texts (but not drawing), but after scrolling down and then back up it still crashes. Unfortunately, in original document (file attached here is just one problematic page from another document) I am still expecting the same behavior as before - crash after displaying that page - also with that file moved. Therefore I am attaching also original document to better resolve this issue.

Ehh, original .doc is too large to upload here, so just link:

Please look at https://openoffice.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=70265. I was able to open that with OO 3.2.1 or OO 3.3, and it previews fine. But, I couldn't open it with LO 3.4.

[This is an automated message.]
This bug was filed before the changes to Bugzilla on 2011-10-16. Thus it
started right out as NEW without ever being explicitly confirmed. The bug is
changed to state NEEDINFO for this reason. To move this bug from NEEDINFO back
to NEW please check if the bug still persists with the 3.5.0 beta1 or beta2 prereleases.
Details on how to test the 3.5.0 beta1 can be found at:
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/BugHunting_Session_3.5.0.-1

in LibO 3.5.0 beta 2 in Fedora 64 bit this bug disappears
but in LibO 3.5.0 beta 3 on Windows XP remains small problem: just after opening this file we can not scroll file. After this few seconds Writer works correctly.

b) with master updated today
- No crash OK
- I can scroll the file OK

Comment 8 Julien Nabet 2012-05-12 07:27:25 UTC
I tested 3.5.3.2 on Windows 7 and Macos 10.7, no crash + file scrollable.
Comment 9 Julien Nabet 2012-06-21 13:15:40 UTC
It seems ok, no more crash (see Sasha comment) now and no info from reportee so I put it at RESOLVED/WORKSFORME.

Peter Marko: if you have new info which indicate a problem, don't hesitate to reopen this bug.
