Description Alex 2011-02-09 23:42:13 UTC
In libreoffice-3.3.0.4, Ubuntu package 1:3.3.0-1lucid1, the "presenter console" v. 1.1.0+LibO3.3.0-1lucid1 extension displays animated slide transitions on the presenter's screen, but not on the presentation screen.

The transition (in this case, just a simple fade) shows on the presentation display only by showing a small hourglass in the lower left corner, followed by an abrupt change to the next slide. The transition appears beautifully on the presenter screen, however.

Displays by RandR ID and resolution:

LVDS1 = 1366x768 (primary/presenter - shows up as "Display 2 - Primary" in Slide Show settings)

VGA1 = 1440x900 (shows up as "Display 1" in Slide Show settings)

I have not tested a situation where the VGA display has Y resolution <= 768, but I imagine that this is a pretty common usage (laptop with presenter display, VGA output as presentation display, perhaps with higher resolution than built-in LVDS).
