Description Tim Richardson 2011-02-10 00:56:12 UTC
I have a Base database with forms. I normally use an external monitor on my intel graphics laptop.
It's running kde 4.4.5
The windows always open on the laptop screen, even when the main Base window is on the external monitor. I can drag a window to the external screen, but the next time that window is opening, it goes back to the laptop screen. (and the real nuisance is that some forms are too big to fit on the smaller laptop screen).

The laptop screen is the secondary monitor.

The behaviour I expect: If the main application database is on the a certain screen, other application windows should default to the same screen. Secondly, windows should remember where they are moved to.

thanks
Tim

I made it high priority because it makes Base such a nuisance for me, it verges on unusable.

[This is an automated message.]
This bug was filed before the changes to Bugzilla on 2011-10-16. Thus it
started right out as NEW without ever being explicitly confirmed. The bug is
changed to state NEEDINFO for this reason. To move this bug from NEEDINFO back
to NEW please check if the bug still persists with the 3.5.0 beta1 or beta2 prereleases.
Details on how to test the 3.5.0 beta1 can be found at:

Hi Tim,

are you using LO 3.4 or 3.5?
The last stable version is 3.5.5.
Is bug still in 3.4 or 3.5?

@Rainer
What is your opinion: should/can this bugreport be closed?
Comment 6 Tim Richardson 2012-08-03 23:22:19 UTC
I can't start LibreOffice Base on OS X at the moment, I keep getting Java errors (on Mountain Lion) even with the RC build of 5.6 So I can't reproduce this bug, since I can't start Base.
