I have a suggestion but am unclear where to propose or submit it. Possibly this has been discussed before, but I cannot locate that. (Sorry if I am repeating.) Here is my idea: would it be possible to set up user accounts on a server somewhere that would enable "synchronizing" a user's Libre Office settings? Suppose I have Libre Office installed on multiple hosts, and I go to Tools -> Options -> Colors and add a custom color to my local palette. It would be very handy to have this color appear in the palettes on all the machines I have installed Libre Office. (This is a genuine need I have.) In fact, most of the settings in Tool -> Options could be exported to a user account on a web server. This would be very useful when upgrading from one major version of Libre Office to the next. By installing the new version on one system at a time, and allowing the synchronization to take place, a user could avoid having to set all of the settings over again by hand. It would be necessary to have server space, user accounts, and the option to "register" a given computer and authorize synchronization for that computer hostname / user login account with a specific Libre Office server account. After it was set up, though, it could run in automatic with very little user interaction. Several applications now support this kind of synchronization (e.g., Google Chrome). Moreover, providing such a service might assist in getting more Libre Office users to create user accounts on the server, and thus help entice them to join the community more than just using the product.
