in Calc when cursor in formula field (not in cell) I can not enter new line (linebreak). I tryed enter it by press Ctrl-Enter or Alt-Enter or finding such character in menu Insert. It not work. (in MS Excel it works by Alt-Enter) Last four years I think that OpenOffice has no such functionalyty. And only in this month accidentally discovered that if doubleclick cell and begins inline editing, only then I can insert linebreak character And from LibreOffice 3.3.2.1rc1 available pasting some text from Writer to Calc inside of cell on Linux 64 bit. produced using Mandriva 64 bit and windows XP 32 bit Libreoffice 3.3.1.2 and 3.3.2.1 rc1
Confirmed with Libreoffice 3.3.1. Mark as an enhancement request.

Thanks for interesting in this problem. But on first time I mean ability of enter character of liebreak while cursor in formula field. It is not necesary create multiline formula field on first time. Newline character can seen as ordinary space, but my be colored. Idea of multiline formula field is interesting.
Marking this as a duplicate. Multi-line formula editor will solve this. We shouldn't be spending any effort extending the current input box. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 32405 ***
