The mesa-demo src/glsl/noise shows me a brown picture

noise2 also does not work (shows me a gray circle)

This is correct. GLSL doesn't require the noise function to return random values, so it always returns the same constant. There are no plans to implement the noise differently. I don't think hardware can do it. Closing.
