Highlight all search matches is already implemented in Word 2010 and most people would expect it because all browsers use it.
[This is an automated message.] This bug was filed before the changes to Bugzilla on 2011-10-16. Thus it started right out as NEW without ever being explicitly confirmed. The bug is changed to state NEEDINFO for this reason. To move this bug from NEEDINFO back to NEW please check if the bug still persists with the 3.5.0 beta1 or beta2 prereleases. Details on how to test the 3.5.0 beta1 can be found at: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/BugHunting_Session_3.5.0.-1 more detail on this bulk operation: http://nabble.documentfoundation.org/RFC-Operation-Spamzilla-tp3607474p3607474.html
This is a feature/enhancement request, therefore changed 'Importance' field to 'enhancement'.
Dear bug submitter! Due to the fact, that there are a lot of NEEDINFO bugs with no answer within the last six months, we close all of these bugs. To keep this message short, more infos are available @ https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/NeedinfoClosure#Statement Thanks for understanding and hopefully updating your bug, so that everything is prepared for developers to fix your problem. Yours! Florian

My first time with BugZilla so I'm sorry for any mistakes here. I don't think there's much to add here other than this feature isn't in v3.6.4.3 and it sure would be nice. I just switched from OpenOffice to LibreOffice last week (for the docx and xlsx writing support) and miss that feature from OpenOffice. Honestly, it might even be enough to make me switch back since I read and search docs much more often than I edit them for other people's use.
If on Linux, try Calligra Words as temporary workaround
You have done everything right ;)
My bad - the "Find All" option is there plain as day and I'm still on the same v3.6.4.3 as I was yesterday. The option is on the "Find & Replace" dialogue box, which I know I looked at and used. No idea how I missed it. I don't think anything should be done to make it more obvious either. It's already prominently displayed exactly where I expected it to be. The fact I somehow didn't see it is my mistake. I've confirmed the "Find All" option is there in Calc and Writer v3.6.4.3 and works even in read-only mode. Also, yesterday I ended up using this work-around which might be useful on older versions of LibreOffice. Use "Find & Replace" to replace the text with something distinctive and undoing the change right afterwards (actually the Replace All also highlights everything it changes too, so I could have replaced the text with itself).
Created attachment 73846 [details] "Find & Replace" dialogue box from LibreOffice Calc v3.6.4.3 with the "Find All" button circled.
Hi changing status, because it has never been a bug... Did I understood you right :)
