OpenSUSE 11.3, LibreOffice from stable repository: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/LibreOffice:/Stable/openSUSE_11.3/ Under KDE, when KDE integration is enabled, it is possible to change font family on comment (those yellow sticks at the right side of document), but when trying to change font size - it's losing focus (unselects text in comment). After renaming(deleting) kde integration libvclplug_kde4lx.so - GTK version started and it works fine. After renaming(deleting) gtk version too - basic version has the same bug as KDE version.
Looks like it works with Plastic KDE style, problem is reproducable with Oxygen.
False alarm, can't make it work with Plastic style again.
I can reproduce the problem with TWM and any desktop integration -> it's a generic problem.
More details: looks like focus is lost only on second menu click. Steps to reproduce: 1) click document area to focus it. 2) click comment to focus it. 3) press Ctrl+A to select full comment text 4) change font size 5) try to change font family - focus is lost from comments. 6) click document area to focus it. 7) click comment, press Ctrl+A and change font family without problems. Try to change font size - focus is lost again.
I can confirm that until LO 3.5 selected text in comments became unselected (because the comment window lost focus) when you tried to format the selected text (font, font size, format dialogue) immediately after editing the comment. You had to first select anything in the document window and then select the text in the comment to be able format it. I saw that behaviour in LO until 3.5.4.2 (Ubuntu 12.04/64 bit, under Gnome/Unity), but now it seems to be corrected (LO 3.6.2.2, Ubuntu 12.04/32 bit with DEB from libreoffice.org). Should this bug not be marked as FIXED?
Marked as RESOLVED WORKSFORME per comment 5. Do not hesitate to reopen if this bug is reproducible with the latest stable release.
