I would like to be able to sign or encrypt my files with gpg key. Could it be integrated ? Thanks, Denis

Dear bug submitter! Due to the fact, that there are a lot of NEEDINFO bugs with no answer within the last six months, we close all of these bugs. To keep this message short, more infos are available @ https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/NeedinfoClosure#Statement Thanks for understanding and hopefully updating your bug, so that everything is prepared for developers to fix your problem. I would be good to have such a tool

Hm, is this really needed? On OSX just use GPG Suite to encrypt your files. On Win there's gpg4win. Imo not needed. And if done wrong a great security risk if really sensitive data is at risk here. Thoughts? Imo just another feature on the dream list that will never get integrated.
The feature may be very interesting to have in cooperation with some additional feature which allows you to save/load files directly to/from public cloud storage (google drive/box/name your own/etc.). In such case, if you'd like to protect your privacy there is no way around this. Although usage of external OpenPGP tools may be possible, still, the important aspect of all this is in integration. If it's not well integrated, then people will not use it or not that much.
If it is not in standard, it is not in software. Office suites have nothing to do with file-based encryption.
Office suites don't have anything to do with webdav-services. Still LibreOffice is capable to load and save to/from a WebDav service. Given the lack of end-to-end encryption of many cloud-based services (google drive, icloud, officeonline, etc), this could be a tremendous feature. I think to improve privacy/secrecy of online (webdav) or offline (dropbox-like sync) stored files could be a strong argument for many users. It could be as "easy" as being able to open local files via gpg (automating decryption and encryption when opening saving back files using the already existing gpg environment) Tim
