After dragging a bunch of documents (odt) with a table each into a blank document (also odt) and not unchecking the write-protect checkbox and breaking all the links, there is no obvious way to make the tables modifyable!!! I would expect either the right click menu on a table, the "Table..." properties dialog(!!!) or the edit menu to provide an entry that allows to un-protect it!!! I would %*§$!% shout at you because I'm really angry and tired (it took a long time to answer each of the dialogs and uncheck the bloody checkbox *again*!), I only wish you could hear it!
