Description Thomas Widhalm 2011-04-23 12:21:53 UTC
We created a Presentation with MS Office 2008 for Mac OS X, saved it to ppt and opened it with Libre Office. We worked on it and saved it as ods . On several slides were the following queue:

* No Slide transition, play MP3 file
* Custom animation with previous - 0sec delay
* Custom animation with previous - 1 sec delay
* Custom animation after previous - 4 sec delay
* Custom animation after previous - 1 sec delay
* Custom animation after previous - 1 sec delay
* Custom animation after previous - 1 sec delay

When we run the animation, the following happens:

* Background picture shown, MP3 playing
* Wait for Click
* Custom animation 1 & 2 (1 sec delay come in)
* Wait for Click
* The missing four animations just pop up without any animation.

The MP3 keeps playing during the whole slide, just as expected.

When I create a new presentation it behaves just as expected:

* Background Picture shown, MP3 starts
* Animation 1  & 2 (1sec. Delay) start
* 4 sec delay - next Animation starts
* 1 sec delay - next Animation starts
* 1 sec delay - next Animation starts
* 1 sec delay - next Animation starts

I noticed other bugs with difficulties when importing ppt and I can understand that the messed up animation comes from these problems but I expected the file to be cleaned when saved to ods. (BTW. Saving to fodp fails with an error)

I tried playing around with delays, "after previous", "with previous" and "on click", removed the MP3. Nothing worked. My coworker told me, when she first worked with the imported, saved and reopened document, the delay between the last 4 animations and the animations themselves worked but she had to click 2 times when the slide with background picture and MP3 started until any animation started.

I would provide the presentation but it is huge and contains some internal data I might not show.

Now I tried to remove all animations and put them back in with LibreOffice. Same effect.

We found something like a workaround. The following does almost what we intended:

* First animation set to "On Click"
* All other animations set to "after previous" with already named delays

I would think of an user error, but when trying to reproduce this issue with a new odp file our old settings work as intended. Additionally every slide with this configurations shows only the background images, waits 2 times for click and then starts with the animations which go through without any further clicks.

This bug was filed before the changes to Bugzilla on 2011-10-16. Thus it
started right out as NEW without ever being explicitly confirmed. The bug is
changed to state NEEDINFO for this reason. To move this bug from NEEDINFO back
to NEW please check if the bug still persists with the 3.5.0 beta1 or beta2 prereleases.

Thanks for bugreport
Please, verify if in last version of LibreOffice still reproducible
If reproducible, please, attach ppt file with one slide that demonstrates this problem
