Hi

It appears the fo:margin attribute for page styles is not fully supported in LibreOffice : when setting it, it is applied for top, bottom and left margin, but right margin stays at zero...
The attached document has been generated using LibreOffice with a really tiny patch to the styles.xml file...
I don't know how old this bug is, but imho it is quite serious since it affects compatibility with the OpenDocument specification...

Thanks

It looks very similar to a bug present in OpenOffice DEV300m106. The bug was fixed in masterfix for OOo 3.4 Beta (OOO340m0):

http://openoffice.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=117696

I don't know if there is a relationship.
Comment 2 Pierre 2011-04-28 15:17:26 UTC
Hum, it's a bit like the opposite of that bug 117696 : they mention documents saved that are not properly read by older LO/OOo versions... And they "fixed" it by not saving using fo:margin any more I guess.
That's not really what I want, I only expect that attribute to be properly supported...
Comment 3 Elvis Stansvik 2011-04-28 21:49:21 UTC
I agree that is not the same bug as 117696. And I can reproduce this problem. I think it should be fixed. The fo:margin attribute should be respected on all sides.
Comment 4 Pierre 2011-05-04 15:37:48 UTC
Is there any chance for this bug to be fixed before LibreOffice 3.4 ?
It is quite serious, and it must not be that hard to fix, is it ?

This bug was filed before the changes to Bugzilla on 2011-10-16. Thus it
started right out as NEW without ever being explicitly confirmed. The bug is
changed to state NEEDINFO for this reason. To move this bug from NEEDINFO back
to NEW please check if the bug still persists with the 3.5.0 beta1 or beta2 prereleases.
Details on how to test the 3.5.0 beta1 can be found at:
