I just talked to talked to tsdgeos on IRC and he said that it is a poppler-cairo bug. Thanks alot for that. Therefore no here a copy of the report.

1. open the PDF an go to page 4

Actual results:
there are black boxes above the schematic figures.


Expected results:
readable figures.

The document can be displayed with okular just fine.
