Description FreeDesktop Bugzilla Database Corruption Fix User 2005-07-04 04:44:07 UTC
Evince displays a PDF file incorrectly, just like xpdf and gpdf does. However
it looks just as it should in acrobat reader.

Steps to reproduce:
1. open the file in evince
2. open the file in acrobat reader

I use evince and poppler from CVS (04 July 2005).

Yep, confirmed. This file uses a PDF feature called "soft masks" for the drop
shadows that poppler (and xpdf) doesn't yet support. It's on the list of
features I'd like to add, but I can't say when I get the time do do it.

This looks like a duplicate of bug:3098
Comment 5 Kristian Høgsberg 2005-07-30 00:41:14 UTC
Brad, 3098 is about image masks, i.e. bitmap alpha masks. I'm pretty sure this
PDF uses soft mask, which is bug 3020, but I don't know for sure.
