Created attachment 47184 [details] Database exhibiting issue behavior I am running Ubuntu 11.04. I have a report "Query_Accounts By Date" in a database called "Accounts" created in OOo 3. The report was created using the Report Wizard, not the Oracle Report Builder. The report is generated from a query where a dialog box is displayed in the forefront of a blank report so the user can enter "From" and "To" dates. In LO 3.3.2, this report works as expected: the input dialog is displayed (in the forefront) prompting the user for input; once the input has been entered, the report is generated and displayed. This scenario does not occur in LO 3.4 RC1. The input dialog box is not displayed in the forefront, just the blank report is displayed. I am guessing that the blank display is covering the input dialog box, because the report just waits for input. But I cannot enter data because the input dialog box is not forefront. In either case (LO3.3.2 vs LO 3.4 RC1), the blank repoort should no display until after the input dialog box has received its input. I have another database with a similar report is generated from an input dialog box. Only the input dialog box displays - no blank reprt. This report was generated in OOo 3 using Oracle Report Builder.
The problems not in dialog box, more in the old stylee report not created. I can create dialog box with report builder and wizard, and can run it without problem. Not creating old type report is OOo source problem which not solved in OOo 3.4 beta, but in cws fs34b, which not integrated into OOo 3.4, see OOo bug 117454.

I guess the ultimate question though is : will any of this ever get fixed ? LibO has no one / not enough resources to fix Base bugs at present. OOo is stalled - the beta phase testing was supposed to end May 2nd, and since then I've seen nothing new released. Alex
I think it is not a problem, what happens in OOo. The fix is in fs34b cws, it is could be retrieved from repo, and used by LibO developers.
I created a new report based on my query in LO 3.4 RC1 using Report Wizard and I get the same problem. I am confused. Am I missing something? I am not familar with the load lines (fs34b). Are you saying that the fix will come in final LO 3.4? Thanks, Joe
With "final 3.4", do you mean 3.4 (i.e. 3.4.0), or the final one of the 3.4.x series? If you mean 3.4(.0), then no, this is not fixed there.
Test system - LibO 3.4.3, Ubuntu Studio 11.04 (64Bit), gnome, OpenJDK 1.6_0_22 Can NOT reproduce the problem with the test odb/report.
[This is an automated message.] This bug was filed before the changes to Bugzilla on 2011-10-16. Thus it started right out as NEW without ever being explicitly confirmed. The bug is changed to state NEEDINFO for this reason. To move this bug from NEEDINFO back to NEW please check if the bug still persists with the 3.5.0 beta1 or beta2 prereleases. Details on how to test the 3.5.0 beta1 can be found at: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/BugHunting_Session_3.5.0.-1 more detail on this bulk operation: http://nabble.documentfoundation.org/RFC-Operation-Spamzilla-tp3607474p3607474.html
Hi Joseph, are you using LO 3.4 or 3.5? The last stable version is 3.5.5. Is bug still in 3.4 or 3.5?
I have abandoned Ubuntu. However, this problem had cleared before I switched to Windows.
