database demonstrating issue

I have a data source database created in LO 3.3.2 from my Thunderbird addressbook using File->Wizard->Address Data Source... There are three tables in this database, one for each of my three Thunderbird addressbooks. When I open this database in LO 3.4 RC1, there are only two tables displayed. If I re-open this database in LO 3.3.2, three tables are displayed.

I am unable to confirm here on Mac because there is no builtin SDBC configuration in LibO on Mac to access Thunderbird AB files. The reason for that is that it is not compiled in by default, the default being the Mac address book.

What I mean, of course, is that I can not even open the file on LibO 3.3.2...

I can however open them with NeoOffice, but I can not read your file, because it seems that the configuration of a TB address book with OOo/LibO/NeoOffice relies on searching locally for it, i.e. even if I download your own file and open it, all I can see is my own TB address data.

Hi,

I don't confirm. With LibO 3.4.1 RC1 under Windows 7 SP1, all my addressbooks (3) and all my lists (4) are displayed in your thunderbird database.

On Linux (Ubuntu), I see the problem with LO 3.4.1 RC reading a Thunderbird odb created back when things were working. I am blocked by bug #37633 - cannot create any new address data source - that does not allow me to create any new data sources. I have not tried this on Windows. I will try and report back.
Comment 6 Joseph Sylvester 2011-06-20 08:01:48 UTC
I can also verify that this issue (and that of #37633) does not occur in Windows LO 3.4.1 RC. I am running Vista with all updates applied. Maybe I ought to go back to Windows.

[This is an automated message.]
This bug was filed before the changes to Bugzilla on 2011-10-16. Thus it
started right out as NEW without ever being explicitly confirmed. The bug is
changed to state NEEDINFO for this reason. To move this bug from NEEDINFO back
to NEW please check if the bug still persists with the 3.5.0 beta1 or beta2 prereleases.
Details on how to test the 3.5.0 beta1 can be found at:

On pc Debian x86-64 with 3.6 branch updated 2 days ago, I can only see 2 tables.
But I use Icedove instead of Thunderbird.

Joseph: could you give a try to a more recent LO version (3.5.X or 3.6.X version)?

I am sorry, but I no longer use a Linux OS. This problem does not occur on the Windows version of LO.

Since no one else reproduced this and reporter sent me a private mail to say he no longer uses Linux, I put it as WFM.

Don't hesitate guys to reopen the bug if you reproduce it.

Joseph: thank you for your quick feedback.
