Hello, If I have this in my xorg.conf file, everything works correctly. If I uncomment the commented line, and start Gnome in .xinitrc, then Gnome starts running. I can run Gnome applications (e.g. Evolution). If I in this state execute any KDE application, X will crash. Other situation:I start KDE (startkde in .xinitrc). KDE starts to load. By the time it's in the last stage of loading (there are icons indicating the progress), it also crashes X with a signal 11 (segfault). In the previous Xorg version this bug was not present(atleast I didn't change configuration and after an upgrade it stopped working). There is no bug history thus close this.
The contents of this bug seem to have been lost in the bugzilla disk crash. xorg-team archives show that it orignally said: Summary: Xorg crashes in combination with KDE Product: xorg Version: 6.8.2 Platform: PC OS/Version: FreeBSD Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: Server/general AssignedTo: xorg-team at lists.x.org ReportedBy: iampure at gmail.com Hello, If I have this in my xorg.conf file, everything works correctly. Ron isn't experiencing this problem more. See the answer from a mailresponse I got. Closing > > > > Hi, you reported a bug a while ago which became corrupted by a disk crash. > > > > Are you still experiencing the issue explained in the bug? > > https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3780 No, I am not experiencing this anymore. I followed the steps in the bugreport again, and was unable to reproduce. In short, probably the bug has been solved. I have this version now: X Window System Version 6.9.0 (Debian 6.9.0.dfsg.1-4 20060114230205 David Nusinow <dnusinow@debian.org>) Regards, Ron
