In previous versions, the load url bar was visible by default. Please revert, or allow user to make change to toolbar and apply to all components; avoids repetitive customisation of toolbars.
@inpost I do not know what the "Load URL Toolbar" might be. The "Hyperlink bar"? That no longer will be available in 3.4.
It is not a toolbar. To view, navigate to: menu bar; view, tools,customise select dialogue window with tab title 'toolbars' select commands 'load url bar'
correction, the item to select is 'load url'
The place where it can be found is menu 'Tools > Customize > Toolbars - Toolbar = Standard'. The first item "Load URL" is unchecked / Inactive. I do not use that tool, and so it only costs room for icons I need more important. So currently I disagree with reporter's idea. But of course, for other users that function might be important? I never used that during more than 8 years using OOo / LibO, so I wonder whether that bar has been visible by default in any version. To clarify, previous versions refers to staroffice. Can't remember exactly but it was default in version 52. The load url bar is more important, especially to access documents hosted on a web site and also to see quickly where documents are being stored. Also it is very convenient to share the document url with others by direct copying of the url. Other toolbar icons (e.g. open file) are more quickly accessible by keyboard shortcuts and so do not need to be visible by default.
