Description bugs.freedesktop.org 2011-06-08 05:12:46 UTC
I currently try to apply easy change between footer showing and not showing. The reason is that when I print out things, I do have pre-printed paper with the according footer. However if I want to send it as electronic document, I need to have the footer shown.

For this reason I first created a variable "Hidden" which I can switch between 0/1 and depending on the value, the footer should show or not.

In the footer itself I did create a section. I checked the "Hide" checkbox and entered as condition this: Hidden EQ "1". So when the Hidden variable has the value of "1", it should hide the section.

However this is not working.

After checking the "Hide" checkbox and entering the condition the section still shows as visible. When I then go to Format -> Sections and select the according section, the "Hide" checkbox is "UNCHECKED" again.

I ask in the #libreoffice channel and user "vilpan" confirms the same behaviour.

My Setup:
LibreOffice 3.3.2
OOO330m19 (Build:202)
tag libreoffice-3.3.2.2, Ubuntu package 1:3.3.2-1ubuntu6~ppa1

Vilpan's setup:
[13:40] <vilpan> hyper_ch: yes, I do observe the same behaviour: Format-Sections... check "Hide" and after opening the dialogue again, the check box is unchecked
[13:41] <vilpan> hyper_ch: my env is Win XP SP3, LibreOffice 3.3.2 OOO330m19 (Build:202) tag libreoffice-3.3.2.2

This bug was filed before the changes to Bugzilla on 2011-10-16. Thus it
started right out as NEW without ever being explicitly confirmed. The bug is
changed to state NEEDINFO for this reason. To move this bug from NEEDINFO back
to NEW please check if the bug still persists with the 3.5.0 beta1 or beta2 prereleases.
Details on how to test the 3.5.0 beta1 can be found at:
