I was repeatedly installing and uninstalling
LibreOffice 3.4 and 3.3.2 today (due to bug 37883)
and after it I saw it created some (garbage) files
on the root folder of the disk from where LibreOffice
installer was launched:

eula.1033.txt
eula.1036.txt
eula.1040.txt
eula.1041.txt
eula.1042.txt
eula.2052.txt
eula.3082.txt
globdata.ini

install.ini

VC_RED.cab
VC_RED.MSI

It seems they are part of Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable
(probably used by LibreOffice installer)
It would be nice if installer cleans everything after it finishes.

I have this problem as well.

I did a little research and found this bug is related to the original vcredist 9.0.21022.8 which is the one in use. It is supposed to extract the install files to the %TEMP% folder, but it does not. Updating the vcredist 2008 to 2008 SP1 9.0.30729.17 should fix this problem.

LibreOffice 3.5 MSI package contains vcredist as merge module. It will never extract files to the root folder.
