Created attachment 47846 [details]
The Web page - in archive.

Process "soffice.bin" suffers crash after following actions.
1. The web page (the attachment see) is saved by a web browser.
2. I open the HTM-file the program "Writer" or the program "Writer/Web".
3. I select document section "Color Table" (title, the table and the paragraph) and I copy it in a clipboard.
4. I create the text document: I use the menu "File > New > Text Document".
5. I interpose clipboard contents into a new file (Writer).
REM: "soffice.bin" won't fail, if the new file is saved (the toolbar "Standard > Save").
6. I select a column in the table and I delete it. (I used the menu "Table > Delete > Column" or the toolbar "Table > Delete Column".)
7. "soffice.bin" suffers crash.
------------
NOTE: The new text document created from the contained clipboard, should be saved earlier, than you will start it to edit.

Hello ape,

Thanks for reporting. But I am not able to reproduce this problem on LibO3.4 build SLED 11 sp1. If it is still there reproducible, would you also help attach the crash backtrace, which can be get following:

http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport#How_to_get_backtrace_.28on_Linux.29

And 2 more questions:

1. Is there a specific column causing the problem or removing any of the columns will cause the crash?

2. In step 5.

> I interpose clipboard contents into a new file (Writer).
> REM: "soffice.bin" won't fail, if the new file is saved (the toolbar "Standard Save").

Does this mean save an empty document before paste the table into it, otherwise, the paste would be failed?(though I didn't see this issue either)

@ Yifan :

Yifan,
excuse for silence - I tried, but couldn't repeat this error on the computers.
However this error steadily arose during all session of OS Windows_XP_x64 and after restarting LibreOffice connected to change of application language. It has allowed me to describe explicitly the Bug without screenshot creation. I have authentically remembered the display image of window Writer during the moment when "soffice.bin" suffered crash:
- The right part of a column "Comment" (the table "Color", an attachment HTM-file) quitted nesting for "Text Boundaries", remaining within page;
- I deleted columns "Type" and "Comment" alternately, successfully causing each time crash.
For the past since that moment time I have replaced "LibreOffice-3.4.0" on "libreoffice-3-4~2011-06-10_04.17.02_LibO_3.4.0rc1_Win". The old profile thus was deleted.
P.S. It is the second error of operation LibOffice which I can't repeat. I apply screenshots at the moment of the first such error at which function "Alignment" object "Picture" ceased to work.
At first I thought that this Bug_38180 is similar on Bug_32575. But probably that these both errors are a consequence of unstable operation UI.
 Bug_38180 and an error are received on different, but very similar PCs: Windows_XP_x64 (sp2, update - 2011 May), Core_2_Duo E7200, GeForce_8800_GTS_512 (driver - 270.61-desktop-winxp-64bit); Motherboards MSI_Intel_G31 RAM_4GB and MB Asrock_nForce_650i RAM_8GB.
Once again excuse for time spent for me.

Hi Ape,

I didn't fully understand the description. But can I consider it there were actually 2 crashes on your environment? And none of them is reproducible?

Hi Ape,

Ah, maybe I misunderstood, do you mean this problem is still reproducible?

    - The right part of a column "Comment" (the table "Color", an attachment
    HTM-file) quitted nesting for "Text Boundaries", remaining within page;

But would you provide a step by step way to reproduce it? Thanks!

needinfo keyword redundant by needinfo status.
Comment 8 sasha.libreoffice 2012-02-16 04:42:47 UTC
@ ape
in 3.5.0 still reproducible?
Comment 9 ape 2012-02-16 08:05:32 UTC
No, LibO-3.5.0 everything is fine. The error may be closed.
