Description richard 2011-07-06 05:45:56 UTC
When using the lower-right resize grab, in the corner to resize in both directions, it happens often that instead of being able to resize, the File menu options appears.

Sometimes it works correctly, and i cannot ascertain a pattern to when it works and when it doesn't. sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Can you provide the steps for a situation when it doesn't work correctly? It would be greatly helpful. Seeing that it intermittently bugs up, I cannot see any problem with grab right now.

Alos, please specify the module (Writer, Draw, etc.) Thanks!

-) the component is writer.
-) OS version = ubuntu 11.04

the problem relates only to the lower right-hand bi-directional grab.

working situation:
1) position cursor such that resize arrow-head is at the lower-/right-most corner, as close to the single corner pixel of the containter as possible.
2) mouse-click to resize

non-working situation:
1) position the resize mouse same as in 1 above.
2) move the mouse/cursor in (by 45 degrees) a little bit (arrow-head now positioned at the lower-right of '%' sign of zoom % indicator), making sure the cursor does not change (i.e., it remains as a resize cursor)
3) mouse-click and now now the file menu appears

This bug was filed before the changes to Bugzilla on 2011-10-16. Thus it
started right out as NEW without ever being explicitly confirmed. The bug is
changed to state NEEDINFO for this reason. To move this bug from NEEDINFO back
to NEW please check if the bug still persists with the 3.5.0 beta1 or beta2 prereleases.
Details on how to test the 3.5.0 beta1 can be found at:
