Slow to render PDF file

Poppler takes several tens of seconds to render each page of the attached document, using 100% CPU time (tested with versions 0.14.5 and 0.16.7).

The splash renderer is considerably slower than the cairo one, moving.
Comment 2 Thomas Freitag 2012-05-02 00:40:50 UTC
Okay, cairo is still faster, splash needs round about double the time, but do You still think it is too slow in the actual version?

With a rendering time of between 5 and 30 seconds per page (poppler-0.18.4), yes, I'm afraid it's still too slow :-(

With poppler 0.24.1 both cairo and splash backends render the pages of this document at about 100ms each page, so i'm closing the bug.
