Created attachment 49368 [details] files of type and view menu Feauture requeste Our system: Windos XP SP3 Hungarian Libre Office 3.4.1 OOO340m1 (Build:103) You can reproduce it: Click File | Open Choose a type at the File of type and a other view at View menu. Choose a document. Click File | Open again. LibreOffice does not memorize the files of type and view menu. MS Office can do it so few users miss it. See the picture.
Does it work better on Vista and newer? XP is getting a bit irrelevant by now. MS Office might use its own improved copy of the Windows file open dialog source code; we can't do that.
I just tested it on Hungarian Windows 7. It can memorize the View mode but not the files of type.
