Description Oguchi 2011-07-29 21:23:45 UTC
This bug report includes two bugs.
(1) No graphics data except texts can be printed out.
(2) Font selection sub-menu shows unreadable characters which are square when Microsoft meiryo font is selected.

Each phenomenon is described along with the example of graphics data and a image on screen.

Read a document file attached. Try print the contents to reproduce printing bug.

OpenOffice writer worked but LibreOffice writer did not.

Thank you,

Both NOT reproducible with "LibreOffice 3.4.2 RC3 - WIN7  Home Premium (64bit) German UI [OOO340m1 (Build:203)]"

Both NOT reproducible with dev-build "LibreOffice nearby 3.4.1RC1  - WIN7  Home Premium (64bit) German UI [OOO340m1 (Build:101)]"

Also not with portable 3.3.2.

@Oguchi:
What WIN version?
Does the problem remain after you renamed your ApplicationData uservild (with closed LibO)?
Please note that we can handle only 1 problem / report!
Comment 3 Oguchi 2011-07-30 08:58:36 UTC
I verified that both bugs occur on Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bits) Japanese UI as well as Windows XP Home SP3 Japanese UI. This means that the bugs are not OS dependent.

The bugs occur using LibreOffice Writer (LibreOffice 3.4.1 OOO340m1 (Build:103)).

Let me check if the bugs occur on LibreOffice 3.4.2 RC3.

I saved the attached file by Microsoft Word format (.doc) and Microsoft Word printed the block diagram including graphics along with texts beautifully.
Also, Microsoft Word displayed meiryo font name on font selection sub-menu properly.

 - LibreOffice Writer document screen displays graphics and texts as it is but LibreOffice Writer cannot print graphics.
 - Microsoft Word can print properly.

 - LibreOffice Writer cannot display meiryo font name on font selection sub-menu.
 - Microsoft Word can display the meiryo font name properly.

 - The bugs are not related to OS.

Probably, printer driver related issues made the printing bug.

@Oguchi
Here we only will handle the problem "No graphics data printed out except texts"

For your "MS meiryo font" problem please file a separate bug report.

[This is an automated message.]
This bug was filed before the changes to Bugzilla on 2011-10-16. Thus it
started right out as NEW without ever being explicitly confirmed. The bug is
changed to state NEEDINFO for this reason. To move this bug from NEEDINFO back
to NEW please check if the bug still persists with the 3.5.0 beta1 or beta2 prereleases.
Details on how to test the 3.5.0 beta1 can be found at:
