Description Pedro Morales 2005-08-05 15:15:12 UTC
When using an spanish keyboard and Xorg configured with 'Option "XkbLayout"
"es"', when uim is enabled for QT applications through QT_IM_MODULE=uim accents
stop working.

By this I mean that when pressing the accent key + the vowel I get "´a" instead
of á, as it should be expected.
I'm using anthy as input method.
Any help will be greatly welcomed.

At first, I want to know the version of uim and Qt applications you are
using.

Maybe this is the same problem as
http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/immodule-qt/2005-January/000686.html.

Added CC to Kazuki. He is know much more than I know about Qt.

I don't think it's the same problem.
Accents work in kde as long as windows are not started with QT_IM_MODULE=uim.

About versions, I'm using kde-3.4.2, qt-3.3.4, uim-0.4.8_beta1. I'm using gentoo
as linux distribution.

Thanks for your help.

I see. I'll investigate. But, since I don't have qt-immodule enabled
environment now, investigation may take a long time a bit. Please wait
a little.

No problem at all.

Thanks a lot for your time and effort.

Fixed in r3561, which will be available as uim-1.1.0 this weekend.
