While pluging in and out DP port for one or two times, the LVDS turns to black. This is a regression, and a good commit is as following:

Hotplug VGA port can trigger this issue, too.

I don't see the patch mentioned here (Jesse's Patch) in drm-intel-fixes,
drm-intel-next or Linus' 3.2 tree. It seems this patch was reverted a long time
ago.

The issue doesn't appear on the Linux 3.1 release. I think we could close this bug now.
