Description Bryce Harrington 2011-08-12 18:29:49 UTC
Forwarding this bug from Launchpad reporter Simon Newbury:
  https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/825177

[Problem]
GPU lockup. No compositor running. First time user experienced a gpu freeze.

[Original Report]
I think it might have been something to do with plugging in external USB? Had a wireless mouse already attached that die at the same time.

Hmm, WAIT_FOR_EVENT, looks like a DRI2 copybuffer that died. Hopefully the user was running some GL application at the time! There's not enough evidence here to tie this to the hotplug-disable hangs, but can we clarify that and ask Simon if a mode switch occurred at the time of the hang?
