NOT reproducible with reporter's sample document and "LibreOffice 3.4.3 RC1 - WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) German UI [OOO340m1 (Build:301)]". I opened from WIN Explorer and also from File Dialog (LibO).

Sample contains links to 2 other documents, what if contents of those doucments causes crash?

@vlb:
I doubt that it will be possible to find a fix without complete test kit. Can you try to create a complete kit? Can yo Try to open document with unavailable linked documents? The link leads to
".... documents and Settings/vlb/application data/openoffice.org/microsoft ....."
and
" ....Users/Frank/AppData/Roaming/LibreOffice/3/user/template/Staal fro....."

May I ask you to read hints on <http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport>
Then please:
- Attach a complete test kit
- Attach screenshots with comments (you can add information using LibO DRAW
and then attach your screenshot with comments as PDF) if necessary, because
you can not know what others will see with your sample
- Contribute a step by step instruction containing every key press and every
mouse click how to reproduce your problem (and if possible how to created a
  sample document from the scratch)
- add information
  -- concerning your OS
-- concerning your LibO localization (UI language)
–- Libo settings that might be related to your problems
-- how you launch LibO and how you opened the sample document
–- If you can contribute an OOo Issue that might be useful
-- everything else crossing your mind after you read a.m. URL

For submitting bug reports you should try
<http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport_Details>, please file Bug reports with status UNCONFIRMED if your are not absolutely sure that you contributed all required background information and that the problem will be reproducible with information you can provide!

Thank you for your attention!

Failed to reproduce on LibreOffice 3.4 340m1(Build:103) for OpenSuse Linux.

I can open boht documents fine. Where are the links in the first document?
Comment 6 VLB 2011-08-24 01:44:13 UTC
The link to the other files in the first document are standing in example "K289, H301, H302, N307).
Comment 7 VLB 2011-08-24 10:23:59 UTC
Maybe the crash become because there is a macro in the file. I see when i try change the macro security than (3.4.2) crash too.

Still not reproducible, useful testkit and step by step description missing!

@vlb:
Please ask for help on a mailing list, probably it's a problem with your personal installation.

Currently there is no possibility for further proceeding here because we do not have a useful description how to reproduce
Comment 9 VLB 2011-09-13 14:02:42 UTC
I have fixing the bug, see http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=613014

"i ended up 'fixing' this over a week ago by deleting my ~.libreoffice and
~/.openoffice directories. have no idea what the exact problem was
but it seems clear that something in my old OO config was causing
the problem with LibreOffice after the migration.
possibly a config option, possibly an extension"

please you cane close this report, thank you for your help
