Thanks for reporting

Support for your chipset has been added in linux 3.0/3.1

Note:
1. linux 3.0 would still require external firmware (fuc****)
2. You would need to append "nouveau.noaccel=0" to your kernel command line to force enable acceleration

IIRC there are no plans (from the nouveau team) to backport Fermi support to the 2.6.39 kernel, thus
