Description trusktr 2011-09-04 18:34:57 UTC
Why is there a tiny squeak noise coming from my speakers when I click on a presentation thumbnail to view a slide?

I haven't noticed this problem with any other app on my system. I've only noticed this in Libre Office Impress.

I see no output in terminal.

Perhaps I can record a screen cast that will capture the sound (?). I'll try it if I get some extra time.

Could this be some type of a hardware issue?

This bug was filed before the changes to Bugzilla on 2011-10-16. Thus it
started right out as NEW without ever being explicitly confirmed. The bug is
changed to state NEEDINFO for this reason. To move this bug from NEEDINFO back
to NEW please check if the bug still persists with the 3.5.0 beta1 or beta2 prereleases.

Thanks for bugreport
Please, verify if in last version of LibreOffice still reproducible

Try also reproduce this on another computer. Try unplug speakers, plug headphones and hear. Try unplug anything from front of computer case and plug into rear.

Actually, I think it was a hardware issue. I believe I started hearing the
sound in other apps afterword, but it was so long ago. Go ahead and close
it and I'll investigate if it happens again.
