Description Andrew Phillips 2011-09-06 21:14:30 UTC
Drawing characters under Windows XP SP2 using Deja Vu Sans Mono 2.33 and these Unicode chars seems to have the wrong width:

FF1D (wide =) is too wide - occurs at all font sizes

30FB (middle dot) is too narrow (or not centred horizontally) - looks worse at small sizes but still occurs at large sizes

These characters aren't in DejaVu Mono. You're probably seeing those glyphs substituted from another font, and therefore they don't fit.
