Description kormondi.bela 2011-09-21 03:29:33 UTC
I created a database of more than 1000 recipients. I wanted to use the Mail Merge feature to send a letter to the recipients.
When I sent the letters to the recipients, a few minutes later the Libreoffice is forzen. Did not respond to anything.

Not an fdo bug, reassigning to libreoffice
Comment 2 Alex Thurgood 2011-09-22 03:45:03 UTC
Memory management problems ? A stack trace would be nice, otherwise it will be difficult to pinpoint where the problem lies :

- size of document to be merged (several pages, images, other objects inserted ??)
- just the sheer number of recipients ?
- something else ??

Additionally, please specify the version of LibreOffice being used. A sample document with db would probably be helpful too, at least to try and reproduce the behaviour.

Oh and this is also possibly a duplicate of one of the other mailmerge bugs.

Sorry, we used OpenOffice 3.3, but I think it was libreoffice can not be otherwise.
Comment 5 Alex Thurgood 2011-09-22 06:42:02 UTC
Sorry, this is a bugzilla for LibreOffice not OpenOffice.org. Unless you can provide the information and exact steps to reproduce on a recent production version of LibreOffice, then I will be closing this bug report, we already have far too many spurious ones, or duplicates where people can't be bothered to check first whether the problem has already been described elsewhere.

[This is an automated message.]
This bug was filed before the changes to Bugzilla on 2011-10-16. Thus it
started right out as NEW without ever being explicitly confirmed. The bug is
changed to state NEEDINFO for this reason. To move this bug from NEEDINFO back
to NEW please check if the bug still persists with the 3.5.0 beta1 or beta2 prereleases.
Details on how to test the 3.5.0 beta1 can be found at:
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/BugHunting_Session_3.5.0.-1

needinfo keyword redundant by needinfo status.
