My 'test-leaks' branch fixes Bug #41125 (leaks) and Bug #41126 (crashes), then gets rid of various test-specific memory leaks and adds infrastructure to run the tests under valgrind, so we don't get into this situation again. See "URL" for the branch in cgit.
