the following error message received with version 0.26.

checking for pkg-config... no
./configure[13540]: --exists: not found [No such file or directory]
./configure[385]: 5]: bad file unit number
configure: error: pkg-config and glib-2.0 not found, please set GLIB_CFLAGS and GLIB_LIBS to the correct values


Version 0.25 compiles without any user intervention.

Yes, read the error message, pkg-config now needs glib to build.
