Description charley 2011-10-13 08:18:13 UTC
Problem description: COPY text/jpgs from site and PASTE into blank document; jpgs appear fine, but when re-open *some* files, graphics have disappeared (not even a blank 'box'/placeholder)
Secondarily, when other dox open with graphics, box briefly appears with -apparently- pathname to online source. DO NOT want it to load/reload from online source, want local copy in document.

Steps to reproduce:
1. go to website (in this case Underwriters Lab site), COPY text and jpg(s)
2. PASTE text/jpg(s) into blank document, appears fine, save as DOC file
3. re-open file, and jpgs are gone baby gone.... (*SOME* files, not all, which is why it is weird)

Current behavior:
not showing graphics (jpgs) when re-open files
Expected behavior:
should show jpgs (*also*, unsure if it has any bearing, but DO NOT want it to load/reload jpg from web page, want graphic embedded in doc locally
Platform (if different than the browser):
? not sure what you mean, but win7 on dell box (not sure of specs) using Chrome
Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/535.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/14.0.835.202 Safari/535.1

Can you please provide exactly URL for test?

The website we originally got these graphics from is the Underwriters Lab @ www.ul.com. They were under the 'Certifications' menu entry (upper right of home page). Again, downloade/copied a bunch of them and inserted into individual LibreOffice docs, everything looks fine. Then when we go back to look at the documents (and insert into other applications), the graphics (jpgs) are gone. The weird thing is, *some* docs open/display okay, and others are missing the jpgs. Don't think I did anything differently, it was a time when I was opening/saving probably 12-15 of them, and did the same process on all of them.
Not sure if the problem was related to this one website or not, it is the first time I noticed the problem.
