I don't see the description displayed, so will add here again.  I created bullet points within columns, using 'solid dots' as the bullet symbol.  After saving, then exiting the file, upon return to the same file, the dots are now displayed as 'carets' or triangles.... not sure what the symbol is, but it's definitely not a small solid dot.  See attachment. Thanks.
