Created attachment 52357 [details] File not drawn correctly The attached file isn't drawn correctly by Poppler: Evince, Okular and GIMP don't render well the bars and the circles compared with Adobe Reader (and with the original figure produced with R). This is with Poppler 0.16.7-1fc15.
If that helps, I just noticed that the circles are actually drawn as "q" by Poppler, while they look like "o" in Adobe Reader 9 (but a copy/paste reports they are "l", which is weird).
Works like a char here. Can you check if you have poppler-data installed?
Created attachment 52361 [details] Part of the figure extracted with GIMP Yes, it's installed. Note I was mistaken when I said the lines are not drawn correctly: only the circles are wrong. See the attached PNG for a zoom on what I'm seeing.
The file is using non embedded fonts, probably you have not properly configured the ZapfDingbats -> Dingbats font substitution. Read http://freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/poppler for more information
Ah, that's it, thanks for the info. For the record, I've filed a bug in Fedora: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=746431
