Description Lars Schotte 2011-10-15 06:46:31 UTC
hi folks,

i have this xmodmaprc which i load everytime, because on the UK (macintosh) layout setting is not right at these two keys:

keycode 104 = ISO_Level3_Shift
keycode 94 = grave asciitilde

i would like that to be permanent to apple macintosh / macbook United Kingdom layout.

thanks.

what are those 2 keys on your keyboard?
94 is less/greater, right?

well thats bullshit, there is no key where these two keys are.

< is next to M and > is between < and ? !

on the left side of Z there is ` and ~ and NOT < and >

that two symbols on one key i meant.

so each one is on different key.

Well, about 94 I got the idea (please refrain from "bullshit" style). What about 104? Where is that key?

i ll make a photo and put a link here so that you can see how the keyboard looks like...

Many other European layouts do put < and > on that key, though UK layouts
(Apple & non-Apple) traditionally have not:

ISO level 3 shift i made of the KP ENTER between APPLE (Super) and <- (left) HOME because there is no ISO level 3 shift and that is needed. so that would be keycode 104

and ... 94 is that ~ ` here down

and on the left side of 1 there are these symbols -+ and paragraph, that is not implemented in my changes. that could be optionally done as well.

Lars, I guess I fixed that. Please check from git

hmm ... that will not be soon, i am using fedora 16, i first have to figure out how to bypass the packaged software by the git one.
