I LibO 3.5 the Text direction was changed to Text orientation due to this commit:
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=72e0dfc02e15ba82b4b4051d050f5aad046cfc2a

confirmed, but a cosmetical issue only, doesn't affect functionality.

(initially it is empty choice instead of the "inherit settings" one, but when you explicitly set one, this one will be used & shown)

@Lior: Where can I find it? I inserted a table and made a right mouse click and had chosen TABLE, but there in the tabs I could not find any such entry. Is this maybe a misunderstanding from my side? Does this issue still persist in the latest release of LO?

I couldn't reproduce with 4.0.3.3 or 4.1.0 beta1.
