Description Roland Mainz 2004-04-09 16:46:42 UTC
RFE: Adjust ST build system to build 64bit (sparcv9) executables (both libraries
and tools) additionally to the 32bit versions on Solaris.
Comment 1 Alan Coopersmith 2004-04-09 17:02:06 UTC
When we do the STSF builds that go into Solaris we use mkshadow from the
xc/config/util in X to build a second directory heirarchy using symlinks
to the source, and then run the 64-bit build in there with various flags
and variables set to do the right thing. I'll attach the script we use
to this bug - not sure if we should put it in the CVS tree or not. (And
it's probably not the best way, but it seems to work for us.)

STSF build script

Assumes stsf and xc directories are siblings.
Doesn't bother building plugins 64-bit since we only ship 64-bit client
libraries
and leave the server as 32-bit.
