See also Apache OOo bug 58342 (https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=58342).  If you have the Navigator open and scroll through a document, the Navigator is not updated with your current position in the document. This could be a heading section, a particular table or frame or graphic, etc.

This feature is available in MS Word, so it's also a "feature parity" issue.

This synchronization works if you click on the button "Content view" in the Navigator (2nd button on the 2nd row).
